A little Cuba, a little sunshine and some FUBIOV! luck

Hello everyone!
With Cuba back in the conversation, it felt like it’s the right moment to share this.
I grew up knowing the name Bay of Pigs — one of those pieces of history that stayed in the air long after the headlines faded. And standing in that knowledge today, knowing what that coastline represents now — calm, clear, and impossibly beautiful — is a reminder of how places evolve in ways you don’t expect. The island itself may not be ready for visitors right now, with power outages and fuel shortages shaping daily life, but the landscape tells a quieter truth: bright water, quiet beaches, and a coastline waiting patiently for whatever its next chapter might be.
For decades, Cuba wasn’t just a destination — it was a magnet for the rich, the powerful, and the world’s most influential travelers. Havana was the Paris of the Caribbean, a place where celebrities, business leaders, and adventurers came to play long before the rest of the world caught on.
Cuba is a place the world thinks it knows — a country wrapped in nostalgia, photographed through the same familiar frames, and talked about as if it’s frozen in time. But the real Cuba is far more layered. It’s a place where beauty and hardship sit side by side, where music spills into the streets even when the lights flicker, and where people carry a resilience that feels almost architectural.
Right now, the island is living through one of its toughest seasons. Power cuts stretch for hours. Gas is scarce. Daily life requires patience, creativity, and a kind of quiet endurance that doesn’t make the travel brochures. This isn’t a moment built for tourism, and pretending otherwise would miss the truth of what Cubans are navigating.
And yet — the island’s soul hasn’t dimmed. You feel it in the rhythm of the language, in the warmth of the people, in the way the coastline glows even when the infrastructure doesn’t. Cuba has always been more than its circumstances. It’s a place that holds on to its identity even when the world isn’t watching.
And when the island finally opens its doors again, you can bet the private yacht charters and the captains with the fastest boats will be the first to line up — ready to take you across those waters in just a few hours, turning the journey itself into part of the adventure. And once you arrive, Cuba won’t return quietly. Hotels will rise as beautiful, modern resorts — each one designed around that unmistakable FUBIOV! vibe, where relaxation and pure vacation excitement shape your every thought and emotion from the moment you arrive.
And with Cuba sitting just ninety miles from Florida — closer than many of the top islands in the Bahamas — it’s positioned to become one of the easiest, most desirable escapes in the entire Caribbean. When the moment comes, the world won’t have to reach far to rediscover it.
What makes Cuba unforgettable isn’t perfection. It’s contrast. It’s character. It’s the way the island carries its history without letting it erase its beauty. Even now, in a moment of scarcity, Cuba still has a way of reminding you that some places don’t need polish to be extraordinary.
And I look forward to that exciting excursion — the sea breeze in my face, the waves pounding against the yacht’s hull, and the vision of Cuba’s coastline coming into view as a dream I’ve carried for so many years finally becomes real. When my toes touch the baby‑powder sand of Cuba, I’ll be able to say the words I’ve waited a lifetime to speak; Cuba is free again.
This FUBIOV! Vibes edition is dedicated to my good friend whose family is currently trapped in Cuba.
Please feel free to forward.
