Wine tasting, vineyard tours and beachfront beach house visit in the vicinity of Greenport, New York. Spent a week with my daughter in an AirBnB.

What did you splurge on, and was it worth it?
Bought 3 bottles of sparkling wine, made by the vineyard. Sparkling wine is similar to champagne, which is French.

One thing you wish you knew
It is a slow paced life and stores close early. Grocery stores are few and far between.
Must-see or must-do.
Visit the vineyards and organic fruit/vegetable businesses. These are ON the farms that grow some of these things. Note that all of the restaurants are informal and 5 star quality. Most of them allow your fur babies! Just have them on a leash!!! ;-)
What would you do differently next time?
Plan for a bit longer visit. We missed so many things. There are so many fruit and vegetable stands. Some are ON the farms where they are grown, There are so many vineyards. There are so many restaurants in a non assuming setting. So many good coffee shops and a fantastic chocolate shop that makes their own chocolates. This place can make you feel good. It is a real FUBIOV! place. You will not think about work or get stressed. The only thing sad is having to leave!
